The position requires exceptional written, verbal and organizational skills; creativity; ability to meet multiple deadlines; and experience in writing proposals and other sales/marketing materials. Provide assistance to Business Development Managers and Project Management staff in their daily business development activities. Duties include preparing responses to requests for Proposals (RFP's), preparing interview presentation materials, preparing marketing materials, coordinating with and assisting other Division Business Development personnel, leading kick-off and review meetings. Must have a take-charge, self-starter, whatever it takes attitude. Sometimes a fast paced environment, therefore able to work well under pressure. This position requires an individual to work independently, and demonstrate good judgment.Company offers excellent salary and benefits that include, (health, dental, 401k, cafeteria plan), great location, casual office environment.SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:· Proposal preparation including narrative development, editing, formatting, and production of proposals. · Provides graphic/layout assistance to help ensure that a quality proposal is produced. Writes non-technical portions of the proposal.· Collaborates with members of proposal team to develop proposal strategy. · Establishes production schedule and develops resource plan to ensure a timely response.· Review and analyze RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs. · Include the preparation of qualifications packages, writing of proposals, and interviews to include development of PowerPoint presentations. · Develop repeatable practices that leverage past knowledge and expedite proposal preparation. · Gather information on potential markets, clients, and projects.· Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as assigned by the Core Services Manager.This position will report directly to the Manager of Core Services. A successful candidate will require flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and direction in a very dynamic work environment, proven ability to meet deadlines, and the ability to work effectively with diverse personalities.KEY RELATIONSHIPS: Supervision Received - Core Services Manager District Manager; Supervising Specialist; Lead Specialist Supervision Given - None Internal Contacts - All departments; all levels of employees External Contacts - Clients; Prospective Clients (as directed) PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:Qualified candidates will meet the following criteria: 4-year degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, English or a related field, and 3-5 years of marketing experience in a technical environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidates must be detail-oriented and self-motivated and have excellent technical writing and editing skills, a proven ability to work independently managing assignments, the ability to work collaboratively with all levels in the organization, and the ability to acquire detailed information from technical professionals and present it understandably to prospective clients. SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:Candidates must also have strong capabilities with Microsoft Office Suite, especially advanced Word, PowerPoint, and Excel functions. Experience in graphic layout software, Adobe Creative Suite, including, Adobe InDesign and Adobe Photoshop, is a plus.
