Business Analyst 2 (Business Development) Job Description:This position is for the world's largest software company, headquartered in Redmond, Washington. Description:The position provides an excellent opportunity to take an important role in driving business insight. If you are passionate about providing business insight and value add understanding complex business problems and driving resolution, have a proven ability to work effectively cross groups then you are a great candidate for this position. You must have exceptional skills in data warehousing, data analysis and reporting as these will be critical to the role. You will require having a good understanding of the business metrics and help generate business intelligence of the metrics involved, thereby assist the business to predict and make changes to improve the service delivery. Work Profile Estimated Annual% of TimeBusiness IntelligenceCreate a consolidated repository of information integrating the various data points (Data Warehousing) to be able to present the information to the business in a format that the business owners will be able to use to make reliable predictions to improve the service (Reporting). Historical data analysis and reporting for reporting to stakeholders will be an integral part of the job (Data Analysis). 75%Projects and TrainingTime is allocated for the business analyst to participate in small projects that will enhance the engagement with the business. Training to increase technical as well as presentation skills. 5%DocumentationMaintain documentation for the work done and keeping the documentation up to date. 10% ToolsMaintain and update internal sites (Sharepoint) and tools for the functioning of the business. 10%Key Deliverables:- The focus of the Business Analyst will be to act as a resource that will be able to mine through the various data souces to provide information in an itelligable format to business owners. - Maintain the internal sites and tools for the business- Maintain updated documentation for all activities that have apotential bsuiness impact. Qualifications: - Candidate must possess a strong demonstrated background in SQL Server and SQL reporting Services and SharePoint technologies. - MCSE, MCDBA or other Microsoft Premier certification(s) on the technologies known.- 3-5 years of related experience in support business, preferably in a services company. Good analytical, data warehousing, data mining, statistical and forecasting skills required. Attention to detail is critical. Must have the ability to maneuver through unstructured problems and create the necessary solutions. Good reporting and presentations skills will be an added advantage.
