Business Analyst - Equities/Indices

Job Description:Genesis10 is seeking a Business analyst to assist the technology group of our client, one of the world's largest provider of independent credit ratings, indices, risk evaluation, investment research, data and valuations. This will be a 3 month contract to hire role. The Analyst will be involved in gathering requirements and doing Analysis for new Real-Time Calculation Platform that will host Equity and non-Equity Indices like Commodities, Fixed Income etc.; Will participate in all levels of the software development lifecycle (requirements definition, project estimating, functional design, and system test and quality assurance) and analysis;Responsibilities include: - Conducting and analyzing business and information technology processes and identifying operational scenarios (processes, models, use cases, plans and solutions);- Determining the business transactions required to be supported for existing applications;- Defining and documenting business user requirements for new enterprise business applications via industry standard analysis techniques such as Data flow Modeling and Object Modeling, Use Case Analysis, Workflow Analysis, and Functional Decomposition Analysis;- Conducting Gap Analysis and create design workflows and publish business analysis results; - Liaising with technical counterparts to ensure proper translation of business requirements; - Providing functional guidance to programmers to resolve issues;Job Experience:Desired Skills - 8-10 years experience in business analysis and/or system development with a working knowledge of entire SDLC;- Strong analytical skills and technical aptitude;- Ability to work alone or in team environment;- Demonstrated ability to build alliances, gain consensus, and effectively handle conflict;- Proficient in RUP, UML, Use Case Design, Workflow/Order Flow analysis, Requirements Modeling, EXCEL, SQL; - Must be knowledgeable of one or more financial products including Indices, Equities, Derivatives, Commodities, Fixed Income and Alternative Investments Company: Genesis10 Location: US-NY-New York Status: Temporary/Contract/Project Job Category: IT/Software Development Contact: Genesis10 Email: Apply by Email Address: 950 3rd Avenue, 26th floorNew York,NY 10022 Phone: (xxx) -xx-x-xx Fax: (212) 421-6292 Reference Code: 12412.2204.17972BA We have over 100 clients in the United States, and 85% of them are Fortune 500 companies.
