Business Analyst/Tester

Description:The Business Analyst/Tester's role is to analyze, specify, and validate the business needs of project stakeholders, customers and end-users. This includes gathering and compiling user requirements to convey to development teams throughout the software lifecycle. This Business Analyst will also apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help support the development process, and to ensure that project deliverables are met according to specifications. Responsibilities:. Collaborate with project sponsors & managers to determine project scope and vision.. Gather user requirements via questionnaires, surveys, site visits, workflow storyboards, use cases, scenarios, and other methods.. Develop and utilize standard templates to accurately and concisely write requirement specifications.. Translate conceptual user requirements into functional requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible to developers/project team.. Where necessary, develop prototypes of interfaces and attributes based on findings.. Identify and establish scope and parameters of requirements analysis in order to define impact, outcome criteria, and measure-taking actions.. Work with stakeholders and project team to prioritize collected requirements.. Create process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to developers and/or the project team.. Develop and conduct peer reviews to ensure that requirement specifications are correctly interpreted.. Manage and track the status of requirements throughout the project lifecycle; enforce and redefine as necessary.. Communicate changes, enhancements, and modifications - verbally or through written documentation to project managers, sponsors, and other stakeholders so that issues and solutions are understood.. Research, review, and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing requirements-gathering processes and develop strategies for enhancing or further leveraging these processes.. Ensure that testing activities will allow applications to meet business requirements and systems goals, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify and resolve systems issues.. Create and execute test scripts, cases, and scenarios that will determine optimal system performance according to specifications.. Conduct application testing as needed, such as system, unit, regression, load, and acceptance testing methods.. Analyze formal test results in order to discover and resolve defects, bugs, errors, configuration issues, and interoperability flaws.. Produce reports and documentation for all testing efforts, results, activities, data, logging, and tracking.. Job Experience:Position Requirements:. 5 years related work experience.. Proven experience with business and technical requirements analysis, modeling, and verification. Experience overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software solutions.. Ability to create systematic and consistent requirements specifications in both technical and user-friendly language.. Demonstrated project management experience.. Able to exercise independent judgment and take action on it.. Excellent understanding of the organization's goals and objectives.. Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.. Logical and efficient, with keen attention to detail. . Highly self motivated and directed.. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure.. Strong customer service orientation.. Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment..
