Handle all support calls and requests (e.g., problems with BO reports/Universes, security changes in BO, performance tuning, preliminary analysis of data issues). Track all support calls/requests. Code promotions. Business Objects software upgrades (including desktop packages). Review and sign-off for all Business Objects Universes going into production. Direct line support for BI Partners (key users). Modify / maintain Business Objects usage dashboard. Document procedures and store in Sharepoint (e.g., how to promote code/Universes, how to upload a Crystal document to InfoView, "How To" for Live Office). Maintain standards for Universe/report development. Provide ideas to Training team. Stay appraised of Business Objects product innovations. Job Experience:Hiring Requirements/Qualifications. Experience with Business Objects XI Administration and user support (application servers, Tomcat web servers, WebI, DeskI, Crystal XI, Performance Management). Knowledge of Business Objects XI tool architectures, functions and features. A bachelor's degree in Business Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analysis or a related field. Equivalent work experience will be considered in lieu of a degree. Minimum of five years experience in two or more of the following skill areas (three preferred): business intelligence, relational database programming, data warehousing, systems analysis, data architecture, data analysis and reporting, technical project management and database administration.Hiring PreferencesAdditional Education/Experience Preferences . Experience with relational databases and SQL. Understanding of multi-dimensional design and data modeling concepts. Familiarity with data warehousing and/or decision support and health care systems preferred.. Experience with Teradata, Teradata tools, SAS, and other business intelligence tools preferred.. Managerial skills and experience in project management and leadership preferred.Abilities/Soft Skills. Proven capability in problem solving, data analysis and creative solutions to technical and business information problems.. Exceptional verbal, written and presentation communication skills.. Strong people skills and the ability to be resourceful, as well as to make concise, independent and fact-based decisions.. Strong organizational skills which allow progress on concurrent tasks from separate projects..
