Business Systems Analyst

We are  currently in Lanham, MD near the New Carrollton Metro and Train Station, but moving to Columbia Gateway Drive in Columbia, MD in 2008.  Position DescriptionThe Business Systems Analyst (BSA) is the key liaison between Merkle's clients and the Merkle Operations Team.  This is a highly visible position, as the BSA will drive requirements and initiatives at multiple levels of detail for one of Merkle’s accounts.  The BSA will immediately participate in a major account expansion to include other services for our client that are outside the traditional database marketing solutions.  The BSA will also be involved in the major redesign of the current technical architecture.  On a regular basis the BSA can expect to: Interface with the client and multi-disciplinary teams within Merkle - BI, technology, analytics - to support the solution delivery process Synthesize complex and contradictory information into concise, readable, unambiguous written requirements – at multiple levels of detail: high level scope and detailed data-level requirements Take primary ownership for written requirements specifications, from initial creation, through change management and solution delivery Take direction from technical Program Management regarding schedule, scope, and cost tradeoffs Assist with delivery of the system into production by designing and supporting the formal client acceptance process, according to Merkle’s defined standards Perform analysis of new data for inclusion in a marketing database, and ad-hoc analysis of data in the database to support the requirements process Learn to be a leader! Great Business Systems Analysts have strong attention to detail and know how to put themselves in the client’s shoes to understand how the client is going to use the provided information.  Growth opportunities for a BSA include Project/Program Management, Client Account Management and/or multiple account ownership.  Requirements Bachelors Degree Four to Five years overall experience in requirements gathering and/or Database Marketing Experience in a full life cycle development environment Experience with test planning and use cases Experience with MS Office SQL experience to conduct basic data analysis Experience working in teams Ability to think and use good judgment Willingness to travel when necessary, typically 1-2 days a month and up to 4 days during busier periods  To apply, click on the link below: https://www.hirebridge.com/v3/joblist/addmodifyjob.aspx?JobListID=35337
