They form the foundation of our SUPERVALU Advantage - the key to our continuing success.RESPONSIBILITIES Ensure the assigned manufacturer's VMI procurement analyst(s) meet established objectives for service level, days of supply, and aged inventory Procure efficiently to minimize supply chain costs Procure system recommended forward buy quantities Follow SUPERVALU directed actions to attain logistical efficiency allowances Alert region category management staff of any manufacturer issues and plans for resolution Maintain buying system integrity for VMI manufacturers Communicate with manufacturer, region, and Central Inbound Transportation (CIT) to resolve issues/address opportunities Maintain vendor scorecard for assigned manufacturers Work with manufacturers and regions to determine root cause issues and develop plans to resolve Train manufacturer procurement analyst(s) on SUPERVALU policies and processes related to VMIQUALIFICATIONS Four-year business or logistics related degree or equivalent business experience Three to five (3-5) years experience in a technical buying or similar position Knowledge of SUPERVALU Buying and logistics/processes systems Good communication and interpersonal skills Good basic computing skillsThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature of work performed by the associate(s) in this job.
