C++ with the Win32 API, WIX developer Job Description:REG/SS 547681 SDE2Key skills:C++ with the Win32 API, WIX (Windows Installer development), INF-based driver installs and the Vista security model (UAC). The Desktop Integration team in the Mobile group. They deliver ActiveSync and WMDC (Mobile Device Center). They're currently finishing their first milestone which involves migrating the source code to a new build environment and beginning to back-port WMDC to XP as it is replacing ActiveSync. The candidate must be able to develop in C++ with the Win32 API and implement UI that is localizable. It would be preferable if they also have experience with WIX (Windows Installer development), INF-based driver installs and the Vista security model (UAC). If the candidate has experience with mobile devices and networking it would be a plus, but not required. This work will only be on the desktop. The candidate will be building the installer for WMDC which must install drivers and user-mode software on the OS.
