They accomplish this by upgrading aging equipment, reducing maintenance expenses, lowering utility bills and improving building comfort—all backed by a no-risk guarantee. If a customer experiences a shortfall in savings, TAC will write a check for the difference. We are currently seeking CAD Technicians to work with our Project Development and Engineering department within Energy Solutions. The CAD Technicians are responsible for preparing working drawings, primarily using Computer-Aided Drafting and Design (CAD) tools and techniques. This role also includes the interpretation and drafting of engineering sketches. The CAD Technician will: ·Setup and maintain CAD files. ·Produce accurate mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) drawings. ·Estimate project drafting time to ensure scope, schedule, budget and expectations (SSBE) corresponds with the team expectations.·Ensure conformance to office and industry drafting standards. ·Convert and import architectural drawing files into AutoCAD. ·Understand and use lisp routines. ·Convert and import text and schedules to drawings. ·Ensure timely production and delivery of reprographics. ·Provide input to designers, engineers and project managers during initial and subsequent design phases.·Coordinate and prioritize workload to ensure project deadlines are met. ·Other duties may be assignedEssential Skills:To be considered for this role, an individual must meet the following minimum requirements:·Associates degree or two years of progressively responsible experience as a CAD Technician may be considered equivalent. ·One to four years relevant work experience required.·Commercial HVAC and electrical systems drafting a plus. ·Excellent verbal and written communication skills including, but not limited to, the ability to influence and persuade internal and external customers, listen effectively, and solicit input from others.·Intermediate ability to use Microsoft Office programs including but not limited to, Word and Excel.·Excellent organizational skills including, but not limited to, the ability to handle multiple demands and assignments, the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and efficiently, and the ability to manage resource procurement and utilization.·Intermediate understanding of AutoCAD.·Experience with Word and Excel·Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical design and layout..
