CNC Field Service Technician (Macomb and Kent County, MI Areas)

We are a regional distributor supplying Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) metal cutting machinery, engineered manufacturing solutions, parts and service to automotive component manufacturers, medical, aircraft, furniture and other manufacturers of metal parts. As part of our expanding customer support capability, the person we seek will provide machine repair service to our Michigan customer base. Working out of their home, using a company supplied van, the person will travel daily to local customers. Overnight travel is minimal consisting of approximately 1 to 2 nights per month.

This job requires at least 3 years of experience, including training in troubleshooting, repair and installation of CNC Machine Tool Products. This experience should include both electrical and mechanical repair. An understanding of G Code programming and a working knowledge of milling, turning and grinding is beneficial. A commitment to customer satisfaction, good interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work independently with little direct supervision. The ability to use PC and job related software/programs for programming, documentation/record keeping.

Requirements: A valid Michigan Driver's license is a must. The physical requirements include lifting up to 50lbs without assistance and lifting greater than 50lbs with assistance. Bending, stooping and climbing around and into machinery is also a condition. On occasion the individual will be required to work flexible hours, including some weekends and evening hours. Living in or near Macomb and Kent County, Michigan is a big plus.
