COUNTER SALES - HVAC/R (BEND)

 

Johnstone Supply, a local wholesale distribution company is seeking an experienced Counter Sales person to join our Bend team.  This is a full-time, day-shift position.

 

Perform all sales and operation functions at the store sales counter, including order processing, product application, pricing, etc.  Assist customers with sales, questions on products, and any other information as needed.  Serve as go-to person for co-workers who need assistance with any product knowledge and/or technical questions.  Understand and use all cross-reference materials and find alternate product if needed.  Process orders and returns, and fill out all necessary paperwork neatly and properly.  Handle customers’ phone sales and questions.  Process ship outs and will call orders, as well as returns.  Clean and organize showroom, counter area and customer coffee area on an as needed basis.

 

Assist with warehouse duties, will call verification report, exception report, and checking website e-mails for customer orders on an as needed basis.  Process UPS Call Tags online.  Attend training classes.  Work on special projects as assigned.

 

Education and Experience:  High school diploma or GED.  Mechanical or construction background highly preferred.  “Trades” customer service experience a plus.  Strong work ethic.  Good attendance and punctuality.  Professionalism and strong customer service skills.  Positive attitude.  Ability to type 30-50 wpm, operate a computer, use 10 key or calculator, organize and prioritize work, meet deadlines, prioritize and handle multiple tasks and able to operate office equipment.  Good written and verbal communication skills along with having good listening skills.
