Calibration Technician Great Opportunity!!!

Davis Calibration – established in 1912, a world leader, a multi-state business-to-business calibration services organization, is seeking a Site Leader/Calibration Technician.  This technician will be located at a customer site in Crestview, FL and will be responsible for managing all aspects of an internal calibration program.

 

Description of Principal Duties and Accountabilities:

· Support daily operations of customer by providing site leadership of calibration lab and all related processes including technical and administrative support.

· Provide data base management and routine reports to reflect customer requirements and current equipment status.

· Calibrate and repair test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment with a strong emphasis on physical/dimensional instrumentation.  Other equipment includes, but is not limited to, general-purpose test equipment, and industrial equipment.

· Maintain local calibration standards and determine capability.  Develop calibration procedures and recommend associated standards.

· Communicate effectively with customer and internal team members to provide optimum levels of customer service.

· Communicate with vendors to obtain quotes and order parts.

· Ship and receive customer equipment.

· Perform work without direct supervision and actively participate in a team environment.

· Communicate via e-mail, voice mail, memos, logs, etc. 

· Comply with all EH&S (Environmental Health and Safety) requirements.

 

Required Qualifications:

· Current 4 years plus of relevant experience in the repair/calibration of test and measurement equipment.

· Demonstrated interpersonal and communications skills.

· Previous experience working under an ISO9000 and/or ISO 17025 quality assurance program.

· PC skills – Microsoft Excel & Word experience.

 

Qualifications Preferred:

· AS degree in an electronics discipline or equivalent experience.

· Formal advanced training in Metrology (i.e. military PMEL).

· Experience in physical dimensional test equipment, heat-treating process, and temperature uniformity surveys.
