Current Openings Child Care Interventionist Floater for New Leaf Childcare Center:

Part-time hourly. Under the direct supervision of the Lead Interventionists, the Child Care Interventionist Floater assumes the responsibility of providing direct on-site support in the planning and executing of the daily programs to meet the developmental needs of the total group of children in care. To follow and implement standards established by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), Vermont Department of Child Care Licensing and New Leaf Childcare Center. The Child Care Interventionist Floater will participate as a member of the New Leaf Family Child Care Center Team. Must be able to demonstrate verbally and by role modeling a sound knowledge of good teaching practices and of child growth and development. Must have the ability to engage in active play and the ability to interact comfortably with parents. Must be able to maintain consistency and follow specified behavioral plans or discipline procedures and participate in required professional development trainings.

Valid drivers license, good driving record and safe, insured vehicle required.

Providing comprehensive, community-based services to adults with serious and persistent mental illness; developmental disabilities, mental retardation and autism; children with severe emotional disturbances and their families; children and adults with acute behavioral problems and a wide range of other challenging behaviors.
