COLLECTOR I

This position is responsible for contacting delinquent student loan borrowers by telephone via an automated dialing system as well as by letter, E-mail, and fax correspondence. Motivate borrowers, endorsers, and/or co-makers who have critically delinquent student loans to resolve their delinquency and prevent possible default. Help student loan borrowers avoid future delinquencies by communicating effectively the importance of their loan responsibilities and the consequences of default. Advise borrowers, endorsers, and/or co-makers of repayment options including, but not limited to automatic debit, SpeedPay, deferments, forbearance, consolidation and income sensitive repayment options. This position will also locate hard-to-find student loan borrowers via skip tracing. This includes, but is not limited to calling all phone numbers associated with the borrower, contacting personal references and accessing databases in an attempt to locate skip borrowers.  ours:Must be available to work evenings and some weekends.





MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Must have strong customer service and communication skills as well as competent computer skills. Applicants must show a propensity to stay focused throughout a long workday and excel in a competitive work environment supported by a team and individual performance-based incentive plan. Excellent customer service skills are a must.
