Communications Coordinator
National Peanut Board Communications Coordinator
The Communications Coordinator provides event logistics and project coordination support for the Issues Management and Grower/Industry Communications Team. The Communications Coordinator reports directly to the Issues Management and Communications Team Leader, but may provide peripheral logistics report across all teams (Issues Management, Grower and Industry Communications, Marketing, and Public Relations.)
Requirements:
Minimum Education Level: BS/BA or equivalent in pertinent area
Years of Service or Experience in Role: 1 – 4 years
Level of Supervision: Direct/High
Areas of Responsibility: Provides general support to a team; performs a broad range of defined tasks.
Number of people managed: None
Budget level of Responsibility: None
Communications Coordinator Roles and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Position Requires:
· Event planning, logistics, tracking and post event fulfillment for IMGIC
· Fulfilling consumer inquiries from website that support IMGIC
· Fulfilling industry requests (Scheduling mascot appearances, literature requests, premium items)
· Supports development and implementation of effective communication strategies, as directed such as:
· Creating multi-media presentations as needed
· Industry wide communiqués
· Supports GIC with editorial
· Maintains electronic and print versions of events calendar
· Maintains and builds industry contact databases
· Write crisp, concise, grammatically correct, readable copy.
· Performs various project coordination and communication activities as needed
· Responsibility for attending some industry trade shows including exhibit set-up and tear-down.
· Website maintenance including:
· Update, publish, and edit web content on a weekly, sometimes daily basis
· Work directly with others to improve the web site.
· Produce simple graphics.
· Serves as point of contact to resolve web site-related issues.
