Position Description:

TheCommunications Engineer will be responsible for RF system analysis and design,modem design and implementation, and FEC implementation for the next generationof millimeter wave broadband radios. 

 

Position Responsibilities: Lead activities will include: system architecture definition, requirements definition and allocation, performance analysis and simulation, system model and simulation tool development, system design, trade studies, and systems engineering support to hardware design, manufacturing, integration and test.Must be capable of providing technical expertise and leadership in assigned technical areas.Work with vendors & internal departments on technical issues related to product developmentInterface directly with team & support staff on issues relating to design, layout, procurement, documentation, test & assemblyManage the communication link and network design as well as link budget analysisDesign modem and product performance analysisComplete design & development tasks per agreed upon schedule

 

Position Requirements: BSEE, MSEE, or equivalent (Communication Theory)5+ yrs of design experienceExperience in telecommunications equipment design with emphasis in antenna systems design, RF and digital systems design, baseband and digital signal processing, modulation theory, signal detection and estimation, and synchronization theoryExpertise in transceiver software/hardware partitioning and architect designStrong understanding of components of distortion and bandwidth limitationsStrong team leadership and communication skills a must.Experience using advanced RF/Microwave/digital test equipmentPrior start-up experience that recognizes focused work habits & high expectations
