Computer E-Waste Coordinator

Our company is an end-of-life electronics management company.  We specialize in asset management, materials recovery, and secure data destruction when computers and electronic equipment reach end of useful life.  Our targeted customers include hi-level IT decision makers in commercial, institutional, municipal, medical, and academic industries.

 

We are looking to immediately hire a Computer/E-waste Coordinator for our Allentown, PA facility.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Essential functions of position include, but are not limited to:

 

1.   QC'ing of all incoming e-waste

2.   Unpack and weigh incoming materials

3.   Sort and segregate e-waste from incoming shipments into appropriate categories

4.   Using appropriate logs to track inbound and outbound materials, maintain accurate inventory of materials awaiting processing and shipment,

5.   May test e-waste for working components

6.   Repackage incoming scrap computers/e-waste for outbound shipment.

7.   Reliable, regular attendance required to meet business need

 

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  Perform other functions that may be assigned.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS:

 

Medium to heavy working conditions, possible exposure to various weather Conditions

Ability to lift 50 pounds minimum on regular basis

Ability to move 55-gallon drums

Ability to use personal protective equipment:  hardhat, goggles, and respirator

Ability to climb stairs and stand for 8 hours/day

Ability to work overtime hours.

 

BACKGROUND REQUIREMENTS:

 

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Forklift experience required

Good verbal and written communication skills

Ability to follow verbal and written instructions

Previous computer familiarity a plus
