Computer Programmer

 

Position Description:

Under supervision of the Manager of the IS Department, the Programmer/Analyst will create programs to generate reports, screen routines, rating, auto coding, accounting functions and statistics.  

 

Essential Functions:Create, analyze and test all of Trans International programs

 Load, analyze, research and test data from and to our internal systems.

 

Qualifications:

 

Previous Work Experience:

Normally two to three years of previous work experience is required to meet job standards.

 

Education or Experience:

Programming in Dec Basic and C languages a must.  This position must possess an Associate degree from a 2-year college or technical school or two to three years of previous work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

 

Mathematical Skills:

This position will work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.  The employee will apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical solutions.

 

Reasoning Ability:

This position will define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.  The employee will interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

 

This position must be able to work independently and unsupervised occasionally.
