The Content Consultant is accountable for writing content for proposals and other collateral for strategic pursuits. The Position: Content Consultant The IPS Strategic Sales Center (SSC) Content Consultant has responsibility for developing the written and graphic content for SSC pursuit collateral.ResponsibilitiesThe Content Consultant provides tactical communications support to the SSC staff on all pursuits. This individual will develop and maintain best-in-class, industry-specific proposal content that meets or exceeds the client’s requirements. The Content Consultant will also be responsible for developing and maintaining a repository of winning pursuit content that can be leveraged between pursuits. This individual will build and leverage relationships with the existing IPS marketing and proposals organizations in order to access content from past pursuits, as needed. The Content Consultant is often called upon to handle confidential information. This professional has excellent writing and proofreading skills, along with an ability to quickly turn client expectations into written and graphic content. As a highly skilled specialist, the Content Consultant completes complex tasks, often critical and confidential in nature, in creative and effective ways.Reports to and takes direction from the Strategic Sales Center Director.Job Essential FunctionsThe IPS Content Consultant is responsible for providing the written and graphic content for marketing collateral for all SSC pursuits. Other job essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:• Writes, edits and proofreads all proposal collateral for SSC pursuits• Builds and maintains a repository of proposal content and graphics from winning pursuits• Works on assignments with limited supervision and direction• Acts both independently and as part of a team to determine methods and procedures on new assignments• Interface other IPS functional personnel, as needed in support of the SSC staff members Career DevelopmentThe career development opportunities for IPS Content Consultants are outstanding. Content Consultant, Individual ProfileEducation:Bachelors degree in marketing, communications, business administration or a related discipline. Experience:• Minimum of 3 years of proven success in marketing communications or proposal content development• Experience as a technical writer/editor or a communications writer within a technology services company• Must have experience in a fast-paced, professional environment• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills• Ability to work as part of a team • Advanced skills in MS Office programsProfessional Skills:1.
