Controller - $1+ Billion Operating Unit

$ 1+ Billion operating unit of Fortune 200 light industrial company seeks a senior controller to direct the fiscal functions of a multi-site, multi-state operation.  The chosen person will report directly to the CFO and lead a large world class accounting organization.  This includes:

•  Planning, developing, organizing, implementing, directing and evaluating the organizations fiscal function and performance.
•  Providing strategic financial input and leadership on decision making issues affecting the organization; i.e. evaluation of potential alliances acquisitions and/or mergers and pension funds and investments.
•  Providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports and financial trends in order to assist the CFO and other senior executives in performing their responsibilities.
•  Evaluating and advising on the impact of long range planning, introduction of new programs/strategies and regulatory action.
•  Evaluating the finance division structure as well as providing professional and personal growth opportunities for the team members.

This strategic role requires a visionary with sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment and a strong operational focus.  The individual needs to posses “big pictureâ€� perspective, be well versed in systems and have experience with financial controls and FASB standards.  We require a Bachelors degree in a related field, 15 years related experience, and prefer a CPA and/or MBA.
