Controller

Marine View Ventures, Inc. (a Tribally Chartered Entity of the Puyallup Tribe of Indians) is establishing a Controller position to plan, organize, direct and control the financial affairs of the Company and its business units.  The Controller reports to the CFO and will supervise accounting staff.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


* Manage all general ledger activity, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll accounts


* Supervise internal control, drafting policies and procedures according to establish audit procedures


* Manage the back-office integration for all acquisitions and newly established business operations


* Supervise month-end closing and all general ledger reconciliations


* Prepare draft financial reports – Balance Sheets, Income Statements, and Statements of Cash Flow


* Coordinate the annual audit with external auditors




QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:


* Four year degree in accounting


* CPA certification highly desired


* Minimum 7 years accounting experience


* In-depth knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles; working knowledge of manual andautomated accounting systems, and well-developed financial analysiscapabilities


* Computerliterate in various financial/analysis tools: Excel proficiency a must, andexperience with an integrated financial system highly valued

* Must have sound administrative skills and the ability to train and motivate

* Excellent analytical, organizational and problem solving skills

* Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
