Currently, we are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to support our Bath Tissue Converting Reliability Improvement efforts at our production facility in Everett, Washington.Summary: The Converting Reliability Leader is responsible for development and implementation of Reliability, availability and maintainability activities, processes and procedures for new and existing tissue converting production machinery. Provide leadership and creativity in the design, development, optimization and execution of cost-effective Reliability processes. Identifies opportunities and solutions for continuous improvement of maintenance, operations and regulatory compliance. Ensures maximum equipment utilization is realized at lowest cost. The candidate should have technical expertise across multiple technologies and have demonstrated ability to effectively interface with all team members. The incumbent reports to the Site Reliability Team Leader and receives direction in the form of specific objectives. Key customers include: Bath Tissue Converting support teams, production operators and maintenance technicians.Responsibilities 1) Carry out all job responsibilities in a safe manner. Follows all safety procedures in compliance with mill, company, industry, state and federal requirements for themselves and all team members. 2) Develops a comprehensive Converting Reliability Program by auditing the existing program and making changes using the continuum of maintenance philosophy. Reliability programs will conform to and support corporate initiatives (TALCM, SAP CMMS, etc.)3) Develops and routinely reports reliability KPI’s (% rounds, % reliable, etc.) in conformance with Kimberly-Clark standards.4) Seek, recognize, define and solve problems/ opportunities to achieve unit objectives. Identify complex technical issues to determine root cause. Initiate, design, optimize and develop manufacturing and supporting processes. 5) Expands the maintenance skills and knowledge of team members through training, coaching and delegating activities.6) Presents shutdown activities in a “timely manner” meeting maintenance, engineering and operational requirements and budgets.7) Communicates to inform, engage and inspire. Emphasizes communications as a tool to build collaboration and ensure organizational alignment.Qualifications 1) Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant scientific discipline. 2) Knowledge and background in bath tissue converting process and equipment, including technology understanding and development, and translation to executing process and capacity improvements on capital projects. 3) 3-7 years of experience in a variety of assignments 4) Ability to work independently or lead a team to complete projects within required timeframes.5) Demonstrated leadership in achieving results. Preferred Qualifications 1) Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant scientific discipline. 2) Strong knowledge and background in process and/or product improvement experience with rolled and folded tissue products and associated packaging equipment. 3) 3-9 years of experience in a variety of plant and staff assignments, including maintenance and operations. 4) Familiarity with Predictive Maintenance disciplines including Vibration Analysis, Infrared Thermography, Oil Analysis and Acoustic Monitoring as well as Failure Analysis, Reliability Centered Maintenance and related practices.5) Ability to work independently or lead a team to complete projects within required timeframes.
