Job Duties / Details:Maxim Staffing Solutions is looking for an Addictions Counselor to assist patients with drug abuse and addiction issues. Either CAC-AD, CSC-AD, and CPC-AD licensing is requiredAddictions Counselor position details:-Complete and review comprehensive behavioral assessments with patients.-develop and help to implement ongoing treatment plans-Assist in counseling groups and individuals on a crisis intervention basis-Qualified candidates must possess high physical and emotional energy to handle the array of issues that are addressed. Many of the patients have an addiction, though they may have a dual diagnosis,(i.e. HIV positive/AIDS, or a psychiatric disorder as well)-establish contact with outside agencies (lawyers, probation officers, case workers, etc) as required during rehabilitation-Will under go review by supervisors, and will assist Social Workers as needed. Education/Experience:-Basic working knowledge, would prefer 1-3 years experience- Associates or Bachelors Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, drug dependency,-Looking for a candidate who is a Certified Associate Counselor-Alcohol and Drug (CAC-AD): or a Certified Supervised Counselor-Alcohol and Drug (CSC-AD).-Prefer experience in a hospital setting with mentally ill patients-Experience working with drug abuse patients, especially methadone abuseBenefits: Maxim employees are our greatest asset.
