Customer Service Assistant (CSA)

CSA Job Responsibilities:



 



§ Schedule customer orders timely and accurately.

§ Communicate effectively with customer by phone, fax, e-mail, and EDI for scheduling appointments and providing customer service.

§ Enter customer orders and data accurately and timely.

§ Assist Customer Service Managers (CSM) with managing their customer accounts. 

§ Maintain customer database.

§ Document customer feedback and complaints. Refer unresolved customer issues to designated CSM for further follow up.

§ Maintain filing system for customer orders.

 

Job Qualifications and Competencies:

 

High School Degree or Equivalent.

 

§ 1-2 Years work experience in a customer service or administrative support role in an office environment.

§ Must pass a data entry assessment with a score of 8000 KSPH and 90% accuracy.

§ Excellent customer service skills such as assessing customer needs and meeting quality standards for service.

§ Fluent Technology Skills (Word Processing, PC, E-mail, Fax, Transaction System). Use computer to enter, access or retrieve data, and navigates through multiple systems. Ability to learn new technology easily.

§ Stress Tolerance — Must deal calmly and effectively with high stress situation. Requires maintaining composure, keeping emotions in check, and controlling irritation even in very difficult situations.

§ Communication Skills — Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate in verbal and written form (in-person, phone, e-mail).

§ Fluency in English, but Spanish language skills a plus.

§ Cooperation — Job requires being pleasant with others on the job and displaying a good-natured, cooperative attitude.

§ Dependability — Job requires being reliable, responsible, and fulfilling obligations.

§ Ability to work in a support capacity for multiple individuals.

§ Interpersonal Skills — Ability to work professionally and effectively with many different types of people across the country, both internal and external customers.

§ Attention to Detail — Demonstrated ability to accurately manage numbers, names, codes, and thoroughly complete work tasks.

§ Initiative — Willingness to take on new responsibilities and challenges.

§ Adaptability — Open and flexible to changing priorities and business needs.

§ Administrative and Organizational Skills — Working on multiple tasks concurrently, setting work priorities, managing files and multiple documents, and document retention.
