Customer Service Clerk I

 

The Portland Press Herald/Maine Sunday Telegram is looking for a full-time Customer Service Clerk in our Circulation Call Center. This person will answer incoming calls from our subscribers, dealers and field personnel and make outbound calls to support subscriber retention efforts. Responsibilities include entering customer and transaction information accurately and completely into a computer. Assignments will periodically be given to help with other projects.  Some weekend shifts required.

 

The desired candidate will possess the following qualifications:

·  An aptitude for accurate, detail-oriented work and basic math and typing skills

·  Computer literacy

·  Excellent communication skills

·  Energetic, friendly and motivated to help others

·  Demonstrated problem-solving skills

·  Ability to work independently and as a team member

·  Ability to thrive in an ever-changing and fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

·  Prior customer service experience required, previous data entry experience preferred

·  High School diploma or equivalent preferred
