SUMMARY
Performs inside sales activities with emphasis on assisting dealers in increasing sales of C-Tech products and supports the Sales Manager. Improves current sales skills through telephone marketing efforts. Improves product knowledge through training, self-training and work experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
Increases the sales of C-Tech product lines to the current dealer base by: (1) servicing dealers' immediate needs, (2) developing and implementing marketing and sales plans with the dealers (3) training dealers about new products, applications, or markets, and (4) direct telephone activity into region, and (4) follow leads to culmination in sale or expiration.
Directly assists dealers with tracking of shipments, price quote, sordering marketing materials, machinery and other C-Tech merchandise.
Follows each problem through to verified completion.
Reports all activities to Manager.
Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university in business or related field; or one to two years related experience in sales and customer service; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
Demonstrated ability in leadership skills and in developing and implementing sales programs is preferred. The ability to relate well to a variety of customer personality types is essential.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, by using the telephone and personal computer throughout most of the workday. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. Must be able to travel in commercial airplanes and in automobiles. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Works in an office setting with moderate noise level. Some travel may be required.
