Primary customer industries include Refining and Petrochemicals, Upstream Oil and Gas, Pharmaceuticals and Fine Chemicals, and Power and Utilities.Job DescriptionThe Deals Desk will responsible for assisting the sales organization in structuring sales and ensuring sales transactions are structured to be compliant with revenue standards.• Lead the development and execution of process to assist the sales team with structuring transactions and ensuring compliance with revenue standards.• Enforce pricing policies and act as “clearing desk” for all Sales Program decisions, ensuring cross-functional participation in the deal desk process.• Effectively work with all relevant departments — including Marketing, Sales, Contracts Management, Finance, Order Management, Services, etc?• Provide pricing analytics and insight to current product prices • Act as key evangelist through the education of the sales team, product marketing and business managers on the deal desk process and revenue standards.• Apply developed subject matter knowledge to solve common and complex business issues within established guidelines and recommend appropriate alternatives.• Act as leader providing direction to team activities and facilitating information validation and team decision making.• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of a given program.Experience• 10 years of finance and/or sales operations experience • Expertise in structuring sales transactions, and knowledge of revenue standards.• Quantitative and analytical skills-ability to synthesize marketing and pricing info to draw insights and actionable recommendations.• Self starter with ability to identify gaps, opportunities, and resources to accomplish the desired business objectives.• Ability and motivation to prioritize and drive change quickly, while influencing people and organizations.• Results-oriented behavior with creative problem-solving skills and strong analytical skills.• Ability to comprehend at a detailed level as well as summarize at executive level.• Possesses a sense of urgency with ability to stay focused on goals and objectives• Ability to resolve conflicting priorities to optimize business results.• Finance background and SOX knowledge preferred.
