DEVELOPMENT TECHNICIAN - Mechanical

Basic Function

Will report to an Engineering Manager and be a key member of an aggressive product development team focused on developing and commercializing our fuel cell systems.  As part of a multidisciplinary team, and will be responsible for carrying out various development activities including building, testing and troubleshooting subsystems and prototypes.

 

Primary Responsibilities

 Build and test various power sub-systems that may include pumps, blowers, heat exchangers, various sensors etc.Provide input and recommendations to engineers, including engineering management on system performance and design modifications. Troubleshoot and test breadboard or fully integrated fuel cell power plants in-house as well as in the field.Perform root cause analysis for electromechanical systems and document all lessons learned.Must be comfortable in a lab environment and capable of operating equipment like data acquisition system, gas analysis, measurement of flow, pressure and temperature etc.Summarize test results, perform data analysis and publish reports.

 

Qualifications:

·  Associates degree in Engineering or related areas, or equivalent.  BS degree preferred.

·  Must have hands on experience with electromechanical systems.

·  Proficient in MS Excel, Word, Power Point. Skills with data analysis and CAD programs are highly desirable.

·  Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
