Job Description:Internal Communications Director #4232Invensys Process Systems brings together four of the industrial automation industries best-known brands (Avantis, Foxboro, SimSci-Esscor and Triconex) to deliver integrated solutions that automate and optimize operations. Primary customer industries include Refining and Petrochemicals, Upstream Oil and Gas, Pharmaceuticals and Fine Chemicals, and Power and Utilities. We are looking for a Director of Internal Communications to join our Global Communications team located in Plano TX. Summary of Duties/Activities:• Approves and Distributes all IPS-wide and other broad communications. • Coordinates timing, content and distribution of various internal communications vehicles.• Creates Leader visibility campaigns• Educates the organization on effective communications principles• Provides IPS leaders with the tools, information and training to facilitate improved department and business unit communications• Nurtures, encourages and loosely oversees a virtual network of internal communicators across IPS• Works with regional personnel to ensure regional communications are professional and consistent in messaging with overall IPS.This role requires and individual with excellent writing skills, excellent verbal communications skills, and an ability to think strategically. Candidates should possess a related degree and at least eight years of active internal communications experience in a business environment. Experience in and an understanding of global employee communications is essential. Requires a proven leader. Oversees strategic planning, development and coordination of all marketing communications programs to promote the sale of company products and further the company's sales objectives. Consults with other areas of management or business units, sales departments and advertising agencies to leverage web marketing, trade show activity and direct marketing. Develops objectives and strategies for the overall effectiveness and execution of marketing events, such as trade shows and/or customer related events. Manages and executes projects and marketing plans intended to maximize company exposure and produce sales leads. Directs exhibit design program including production. Negotiates contracts and manages relationships with outside vendors. May direct and prepare ROI evaluations of events. Manages the preparation of sales aids, controls advertising and public relations projects, and recommends the media best suited to sell specific products or services. Manages the development, implementation and coordination of internal and external public relations strategies, with the goal of establishing and maintaining a favorable image of the company with investors, potential customers, employees and the public. Consults with marketing, sales, advertising and HR in order to project the corporate message to both external and internal mediums. Interfaces with public relations agency and acts as the corporate spokesperson to the media, analysts and the general public. Interacts with vendors to produce promotional material. Oversees the preparation of technical illustrations, design procedures, graphics, photography and other printing. Manages the work of graphic illustrators and the use of outside graphic services. May review bids, arrange purchase orders and evaluate the quality of vendor service. Works with marketing to implement new design and projects. Ensures accurate representation of company logo and brand name. Directs the activities of sales employee training. Oversees the planning of course design and support documentation. Ensures training program(s) meets company and customer objectives. Maintains communication with sales to ensure effectiveness of training. Requires understanding of current product use and application.
