Primary customer industries include Refining and Petrochemicals, Upstream Oil and Gas, Pharmaceuticals and Fine Chemicals, and Power and Utilities.Invensys Process Systems has an exciting opportunity for a Director, Program Management in their global headquarters in Plano, TX.Job Description:To constantly improve customer, shareholder, employee and key business partner value, Invensys Process Systems sponsors several concurrent projects focused on improving performance of operations, technologies and products. Many of these projects require significant investment of resources and many activities to deliver chartered value. This position is focused on using and innovating a structured program management methodology to ensure that key programs deliver the value needed in a manner relevant to their charter.The person filling this position will perform executive level program management services from initiation through delivery. Key components of the work include:- Facilitate executives to create a meaningful and achievable charter as program teams are formed with specific success criteria, budget and empowerment to maintain priority and work through issues- Support teams to establish key milestones and work activities and to gain leverage through use of tools and external support as required- Facilitate cross functional and cross geographic teams (sometimes also including cross divisional and partner team members) to perform needed quantitative and qualitative analysis needed to make well informed recommendations to the Invensys Process Systems Executive Leadership Team. Includes direct support of individual program leaders to proactively identify potential issues and manage actual issues as they arise. Also includes support of teams to prepare for milestone reviews (high quality documentation, timely pre-read material, roles and the like)- Establish and deliver any needed training to the program team (tools, methodology, templates for presentation and the like)- Objectively measuring progress to target for programs in terms of time to chartered milestone, budget, and the like- Preside over major milestone reviews including management of the work needed to ready recommendations for executive decision making, scheduling the logistics of meetings, facilitating decision making during milestone reviews and communicating the results of the decisions and following up on open actions and / or next steps- Track resources across programs to ensure staffing is accurate relative to charters and, help program team leaders resolve sharing of uniquely skilled resources when required. Assist in positioning staff who are engaged in large projects for their next step in career development as they enter and exit projects.- recommendations for executive decision making, scheduling the logistics of meetings, facilitating decision making during milestone reviews and communicating the results of the decisions and following up on open actions and / or next steps- Track resources across programs to ensure staffing is accurate relative to charters and, help program team leaders resolve sharing of uniquely skilled resources when required. Assist in positioning staff who are engaged in large projects for their next step in career development as they enter and exit projects.- Debriefing on the program management practices as programs are completed and making adjustments as needed to improve the quality and efficiency of making program decisions.Requirements: Bachelors degree required, MBA preferred. PMI certification or equivalent formal training in program management required.
