DIRECTOR RETAIL FOOD OPERATIONS

DIRECTOR RETAIL FOOD OPERATIONS The University of Michigan is seeking a creative, dynamic and experienced individual for the position of Director of Retail Food Operations within the Food Service Department of University Unions. The basic function and responsibilities are to plan and manage the administrative and operational activities of multiple Retail Food Operations. Other responsibilities will include the planning and organizing of long range plans for University Unions retail operations, develop and implement budgets, supervise staff, and analyze current and future capital equipment needs. Working with the University Unions Procurement Specialist to coordinate food and retail purchases from vendors for food, beverage and non-food items is also required. A Bachelor's degree in institutional management, dietetics or hotel and restaurant management or an equivalent combination of education and experience is necessary. Demonstrated skills in team-building, written and verbal communication, financial management, cash sales, business growth and food-related health and safety management is desired.
