Location: US-UT-Salt Lake City Job Status: Full Time, Employee Base Pay: Less than Additional Pay: Commensurate with Experience Category: Other Req'd Experience: Less than 1 Year Reference Code: 11650BR | Email This Job | Company Jobs Job Description Position Objective:The Reporting Analyst will be primarily responsible for collecting, analyzing and researching data and subsequently tracking and reporting results. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving process improvement through data analysis. The individual must have a comprehensive understanding of data manipulation through queries, processing techniques and concepts including file layout, creation and maintenance of documentation and in-depth data analysis.This position may also include other duties, responsibilities, and project participation as determined by the Director of Operations. Key Accountabilities:Independently, or as directed, conduct special analysis, surveys or studies as deemed necessary.Conducts statistical analysis and reports findings to management.Designs and generates statistical and information reports to assist management in proper evaluation of performance and strategy.Provides appropriate analysis, follow up, notification and solutions to management related to abnormal findings.Participate in meeting in order to provide feedback for projects, workflow analysis or general guidance.Expert knowledge of database applications and Microsoft Excel and Access.Ability to solve practical problems and handle a variety of variables in situations where limited standardization exists.Demonstrates ability to offer alternate solutions.Works closely with business personnel to solve problems using established analytical techniques or develops new techniques to effectively reach the correct conclusionsQualificationsExperience and Education:College degree desired (associate or bachelors), however commensurate experience will be considered.A minimum of 2 years experience in computer software applications, (MS Office Suite).Familiarity/understanding of real estate or mortgage industry is helpful.Skills and Characteristics:Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation and facilitation skills across multiple domains (written, verbal, public speaking/teaching/training, interpersonal, listening).Good team leadership, administrative and analytical skills with highly collaborative approach.Good prioritization, planning, project management, problem-solving and implementation skills showing initiative and follow-through.Ability to conduct/interact professionally and effectively at multiple levels within the organization.Ability to deliver complex concepts through easy to understand modalities.Ability to establish credibility, overcome obstacles and make decisions confidently.Proven reliability and dependability in attendance and punctuality.Strong quantitative analysis skills.The First American Corporation is an Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
