Data Warehouse Specialist Job Description:We're Affiliated Computer Services, Inc. Based in Dallas, ACS is a FORTUNE 500 company of 62,000 people supporting client operations reaching more than 100 countries.PositionThis position will work closely with the database team for the design, development and maintenance of enterprise data warehouse solutions for different customer affiliates.This position requires a seasoned, experienced professional able to resolve a wide range of issues in creative ways.ResponsibilitiesInclude but are not limited to:· System analysis and programming using PL/SQL procedures, Informix 4GL, TSQL, C, C++.· Develop and define Data warehouse business models and data transformation (ETL) strategies, including transformation procedures using extensive knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL, Shell scripting. · Plans, designs, develops and tests software systems or applications for software enhancements and new products· Using current programming languages and technologies, writes code, completes programming, and performs testing and debugging of applications· Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.· Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.· Networks with key contacts outside own area of expertise.Requirements:· Demonstrated design and develop track record delivering scalable software solutions· Effective English written and verbal communication skills and ability to work in a team environment· Self-motivated and positive attitude · Oracle 9i/10G Certified Professional DBA· Knowledge of HRMS and PeopleSoft financials (ERP)· Experience with data warehouse in an ERP Environment, including PeopleSoft interfaces and security· Advanced experience in writing complex SQL and UNIX shell scripts· Extensive knowledge in all aspects of Oracle and SQL Server DBA experience· Extensive experience with Relational, Hierarchical and Network Data Base Management SystemsEducation and Typical Years Experience· Requires a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, or a related hard science (Math, EE, Physics, etc.) plus a minimum offour years of applicable software engineering experience. · 5-10 years experience in Physical and Logical data base design and implementation.ACS is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not Discriminate against any applicant on the basis of race, color, religion/creed, national origin, gender, or sex, marital status, age, disability, use of a guide dog or service animal, sexual orientation, military/veteran status, or any other status protected by Federal or State law or local ordinance.
