Thank you for your interest!Major Position Responsibilities:1. Design and develop modifications to the Montana Medicaid Decision Support System.Plan and implement enhancements and other changes to improve the capabilities of the system. Work with the customer and internal systems staffto identify, prioritize, develop, test and implement improvements.2. Create complex queries, reports and extracts from the Decision Support System as requested by the customer.This position is responsible for both adhoc and routine query and reporting requirements.Analyze large complex data sets and communicate highly technical information to a diverse audience.3. Coordinate modifications and enhancements to the query tool (SQL) with the customer and a technical support group.4. Develop, maintain and present training for new users.Develop and present advanced topic training as needed.5. Provide advanced operational guidance to customer and internal staff.Required:Excellent analytical skill and experience with analyzing and reporting on large datasets. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Excellent customer service orientation.Ability to exercise judgment in setting priorities.Ability to work independently on multiple complex projects and manage them with minimal supervision.Working knowledge of spreadsheet design and development (Excel) and database structures (tables, queries, data elements).Excellent organizational skills.Ability to work professionally with confidential medical information.Knowledge of medical claims processing systems, medical coding methods, budgeting and accounting.Skill with computer based analytical products, (SAS, SQL, GIS, etc,). Working knowledge of advanced Excel techniques (pivot tables, charting, formulas, etc.).
