JOB SUMMARY: Manage all aspects of product development in an assigned product area. Maintain consistency of fit and quality through technical written spec packages in PDM. Manage daily workload while driving T&A calendar. Insure brand integrity throughout fit development process while keeping the customer in mind. Build and Maintain strong communication with Buyers, Product Development and Vendors. Work closely with Senior Technical Designer to enhance and evolve processes and procedures as business evolves; broaden technical knowledge and expertise, while continually striving to elevate the quality of the product. Self-motivated, creative and problem solver. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Responsible for one or more product classifications. Analyze fit on a live model and mannequin, while maintaining consistency. Evaluate garment fit, construction and trim details according to standards. Work with Senior Technical Designer, Merchants, and Product Development to establish the direction of the fit and garment details. Execute spec packs from concept to T.O.P. (inclusive of written comments on fit, construction, and trims, digital photos and any other necessary information). Accuracy is essential. Communicate on a daily basis with Vendors, Merchants, and Product Development as it relates to the T&A and execution of the product. Assist in special projects (creating new blocks, creating processes etc.). Assist other teams when workload is heavy within the department. Mentor and Develop Assistant and Associate Technical Designers. Travel as needed. QUALIFICATIONS: 4~ Year College Degree Preferred. Minimum of 5 years in the apparel industry in pattern making or technical design. Complete understanding of fit, balance, and garment construction; knowledge of fabrics and finishes as related to the fit of the product. Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Excellent time management skills.
