Desktop Tech Analyst--1

Job Description:Description:The individual will be primarily responsible for evaluation of new technologies i.e. desktop hardware, software and peripherals, and coordinating work with teams to transfer those technologies to the business units effectively. This position is also responsible for technical tasks associated with standardizing and documenting the installation of PC hardware and software. The individual will be responsible for determining how best to install and configure software, creating step-by-step instructions for software installations, resolving software configuration conflicts between applications, and providing third level support for standard software.Evaluate new desktop client technologies for implementationAssist with Third Level SupportPerform Subject Matter Expert responsibilities.Participation in cross-functional project teamsAjilon Consulting has over 35 years of experience with people just like you. Strong understanding of how the PC interacts with the Windows server environment and related technologies. General understanding of how PC applications interact with operating system.Desktop Technical Support - Expert with 4 year(s) experience.Good knowledge of desktop and laptop hardware installation and operation. Good working knowledge of the current versions of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Visio, Internet Explorer.Visual Basic Scripting - Intermediate with 3 year(s) experience.Ability to read/understand Visual Basic Scripts and perform minor editing.Preferred Technical SkillsSolution Development - Intermediate with 3 year(s) experience.Experience in developing technical solutions using desktop technologies, including Visual Basic scripting.Project Management - Intermediate with 3 year(s) experience.Experience leading project teams including tracking timelines and milestones.SMS/SCCM Experience - Intermediate with 3 year(s) experience.Experience with SMS package delivery and client interaction with desktop.Network Operations - Intermediate with 3 year(s) experience.Good understanding of TCP/IP networks and infrastructure, experience troubleshooting networking and name resolution issues.Required General SkillsDemonstrated ability to independently evaluate new technologies for corporate application and transfer new technologies to the business units.Experience coordinating the work of cross-functional teams to both evaluate and transfer new/recommended technologies.
