Desktop Technical Analyst

Job Description:Description:This position provides computer related service desk support for personnel, wholesalers, and suppliers. All activities are tracked using an automatic call distribution phone system, an online call tracking system, and an online customer satisfaction survey system. THIS IS A HELP DESK ROLE. Selected candidates will be assigned to answer phones and provide resolution for technical issues to the best of their ability during their work shift; this is not a desk side support role. Most teams require rotational on-call duty encompassing 6pm-7am M-F and all day Sat-Sun. Candidates may be asked to work any number of shifts including evenings, nights, weekends and holidays. PLEASE NOTE IF YOU ARE NOT FLEXIBLE TO WORK ANY OF THESE SHIFTS (adequate notice for shift changes will be provided).Answering help desk phones (selected candidates will be assigned to answer phones and provide resolution for technical issues to the best of their ability or escalate to appropriate groups when the issues are more complex)Assist other help desk teams with call backlogTrack support calls via the corporate online call tracking system and follow up with open tickets.Provide on-call support after hoursCreate/update knowledge base postingsAjilon Consulting has over 35 years of experience with people just like you. Job Experience:**PREFER LOCAL CANDIDATES**Position based in St. Louis, MONo Sub-Contractor or 1099 need to applyRequired Technical SkillsDesktop Technical Analyst - Expert with 2 year(s) experience.Currently working in a corporate level HELP DESK technical PHONE support role (excludes on-site/deskside technical support).Desktop Technical Support - Expert with 5 year(s) experience.Resolving desktop computer issues from either a help desk and/or desk side role. Knowledge of remote access, VPN, networking, and Blackberry is a plus.Preferred Technical SkillsDocumentation Specialist/Technical Writer - Intermediate with 2 year(s) experience.Ideal candidates have experience writing technical documentation for software installs, knowledge base entries, and/or technical processes.Required General SkillsExcellent customer service skillsMethodical trouble shooting skillsExcellent communications skills (verbal and written)Prompt for work shifts.
