Director, Business Analytics

Basic FunctionThis individual’s primary responsibilities will be to lead and execute innovative plans and strategies that align specifically with marketing and sales management. Additionally, this position entails streamlining information and data that drive commercial initiatives. I. Principal ResponsibilitiesA.) Business Analytics. • Provide the necessary the execution in leading the organization’s core analytic function. Must be able to provide a vision for the development, implementation and rollout of various analytic platforms. Assess the need for utilization of external vendors balanced against internal resources. Build a defined a schedule for reporting key business analytics to senior management and sales.B.) Brand Planning. • Partner with Marketing and Market Research to deliver actionable information that supports key brand strategic imperatives and tactics. Develop a process of continuous refinement of leading and lagging indicators that can be used in the face of changing market and business conditions. Key partner in all brand forecasting and modeling. Be the central owner of all movement and demand forecasts and actual reporting.C.) Channel Strategy. • Work closely with Trade & Distribution to ensure successful launch of RSV OneSource over the next three years. Includes aligning SDN / RCH data with current systems and platforms with a focus on delivery and packaging of information for the sales organization.D.) Sales Force Effectiveness • Elevate the business analysis skills of the entire sales organization by providing innovative tools and training. Work closely the Regional Business Directors to build effective sales business plans. Provide the necessary strategic partnership to the VP, Sales in long term planning.II. Judgment RequirementsThis position requires a high level of individual judgment to know when to act alone and when to engage various business partners.III. Decision Making RequirementsThis position requires a high level of decision-making ability given the nature of the assigned responsibilities. Must be able to plan and execute decisions in a timely manner. V. Initiative RequirementsGiven the importance of the responsibilities assigned to this position, it is imperative that this individual be able to think and act independently. The ideal candidate will be able to take charge of the activities assigned and perform them with little supervision. Extensive follow-up skills and attention to detail are required. Education and Special SkillsBachelor’s degreeMBA Preferred Strong quantitative analysis background with a blend of marketing, sales and process integration.VIII.
