Director, Corporate Communications
The Director of Corporate Communications oversees communications with all company stakeholders including employees, media, clients, and partners.
A key goal of the position is to facilitate internal information sharing across functions, divisions, and locations. The Director of Corporate Communications works closely with Schematic’s senior executives to ensure that the company’s 350 employees are aligned and engaged with the company’s vision and strategy. The position is dually focused on external communications, to protect the reputation of the Schematic brand as it is broadcast to the community.
ResponsibilitiesUnderstand Schematic’s industry, brand characteristics, business strategy and priorities Develop programs and campaigns to enhance employee knowledge of the company’s products, business goals and operating environmentHelp manage Internal PR staff and agency relationships globallyAct as a strategic advisor to Human Resources, IT and Legal and to senior leaders in other functional areas, by developing and executing communications plans to support themAct as ‘resident expert’ on internal communications by constantly learning and sharing knowledge about Schematic’s best practices information on internal communications practices in other companiesLeverage executive communication with employees through the management and execution of meetings, speaking opportunities, events, electronic media and printed materialsEnsure consistency with branding and positioning in all written materialsManage and track department budgetCoordinate and manage the day-to-day corporate content ensuring that it is fresh, relevant and easy-to-useDraft, edit and disseminate communications for corporate initiatives and division activities, including fact sheets, talking points, Q&As and operational education materials for internal use
QualificationsExcellent speaking, writing, and editing skillsAbility to manage several projects at once and deliver results accurately and on scheduleProven ability to interact with senior-level executives and press; strong interpersonal skillsExperience in project management, event planning, and public relations/communicationsFamiliarity with Power Point, Keynote, Excel and WordBachelor’s Degree
