Coordinate with Corporate Human Resources to develop and implement strategic and tactical initiatives which support corporate and market strategic goals and objectives. Serve as “Change Agent” within the organization to facilitate the successful transition to new processes, practices and technology by utilizing change management initiatives to engage the workforce and ensure maximum utilization of technology solutions. Manage Leadership Development process including assisting with identification of future leaders, coaching and mentoring programs as appropriate, facilitation of formal programs and job rotational assignments, and involvement with succession planning efforts with Organizational Development and market management. Evaluate recurrence or unfavorable trends across geographic regions and implement actions to mitigate in the future though appropriate training, coaching and discipline as required. Mitigate future actions and manage financial risks. Evaluate favorable trends to determine actions, if appropriate to implement broadly across geographic regions. Supports management on all employee matters including workforce planning, candidate sourcing and hiring, performance management, coaching and development, disciplinary action, compensation management, management of turnover, and facilitating Supervisory, Management and Leadership skills training. Responsible for ensuring that all employee issues (“Careline”) are investigated and resolves within a timely fashion. Where applicable, implement the corporate Labor Relations Strategy across geographic market. Favorably manage the management-union activities and environment and actively participate in all contract negotiations, grievance and arbitration activities. Ensure management is well versed on all terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreements and work with management to correct practices which are inconsistent with contract language or federal or state laws. Assist with state requirements regarding payroll to ensure accurate and timely submitted data; coordinate with Corporate Director of HR Policy and Compliance to manage DOL inquiries and mitigate unfavorable settlements through the implementation of corrective measures. Job Responsibilities: List the 5-8 major areas of responsibilities Directly supervises Human Resources professionals and assistants in distributed locations across the south eastern and central US. as designated to support the client base of the Market Support Center Responsibilities include interviewing internal and external candidates for positions, hiring, ensuring appropriate training and development assignments for associates; planning, assigning, directing and monitoring work; appraising performance; rewarding and motivating team members; and addressing and resolving problems. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies, practices and applicable laws. Assist in the development activities for each market leader within the MSC’s AOR. Assist in identifying “next level down” talent (below market leaders) within the MSC’s AOR. Assists team by conducting employee relations investigations as needed within the MSC’s AOR. Serves as active member of the Human Resources Leadership Team to address strategic HR issues facing the organization and may serve on special corporate projects in support of critical initiatives. Education & Experience: Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 10-15 years of progressive HR Management experience Broad HR experience in a variety of HR disciplines, including compensation, organizational capability, HR processes, laws, talent management, employee relations, labor relations and staffing Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience. Masters degree with emphasis in Human Resource Management, Organizational Development, or related field preferred Professional HR certification desired Demonstrated strategic thinking, influencing, problem solving and decision making skills Demonstrated leadership skills, including proven success in building, leading and managing a team of high performing HR professionals in both local and remote geography Previous labor relations experience a plus Ability to interact with all levels of management Proven project management skills and project leadership capabilities Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills Management / Supervisory Responsibility: Manage a group of HR professionals and support staff including responsibility for ongoing performance management, coaching, and development.
