Manager (Manager/Supervisor of Staff) Director, Organizational Development GENERAL SUMMARY: The Director of Organization Development will provide strategic and tactical leadership for functional and companywide organization and leadership development efforts.  This position will identify organization and leadership development issues, assess key business needs and develop solutions that address the identified issues.  He/She will collaborate with company executive and field leadership, corporate staff and other HR colleagues to build and maintain comprehensive organization and leadership development initiatives companywide.  ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:1.  Organization Design - Partnering with business leaders to develop and implement organization designs that facilitate their function’s ability to deliver against our growth strategy and contribute to the success of the company2.  Culture - Collaborating with senior business leaders and the field to build a service-centric culture throughout the entire organization 3.  Organization Development - Developing programs and initiatives that help drive team member retention and engagement (i.e. career development, high potential programs, succession planning, etc)4.  Leadership Development – Building and implementing programs the significantly increase the leadership capabilities of our team members 5.  Change Management – Developing and implementing change management strategies and tactics that enable our team members to maintain focus and productivity while embracing new systems, processes, competencies, etc.  ORGANIZATION RELATIONSHIPS: The position will collaborate with company executives and field leadership, corporate staff, and other HR colleagues. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:1) Knowledge, skills & abilities:· Substantial experience providing performance consulting services in a variety of settings, designing and facilitating large scale organization change and effectiveness and leadership development interventions· Demonstrated skills consulting with a diverse range of constituents and providing thought leadership reflecting current issues in organization development and leadership· Proven competencies in strategic thinking and analysis; problem-solving; decision-making; project planning, management and implementation; group facilitation; and vendor management· Ability to effectively challenge, influence, coach and collaborate with constituents in order to develop the most effective approaches to critical organization and leadership development issues 2)  Minimum certifications/educational level:· A graduate degree and post-degree training in Organization Development/Effectiveness or an MBA is preferred  3)  Minimum experience:· Candidates should have a minimum of 8 years leading Organization and Leadership Development/Effectiveness efforts in complex organizationsThis position description intends to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this job.
