Director, Patient Reported Outcomes
Mapi Values is an established, internationally renowned company with offices in Boston, MA, U.S.; Lyon, France; Utrecht, The Netherlands; and Manchester, U.K.; it provides strategic consultancy with pharmaceutical and biotech industry in health and economic outcomes. We are a dynamic, growing company providing global leadership in the development/interpretation of Health Economic and Patient-Reported Outcomes (PROs) arguments to facilitate access to the market. We design and conduct health-outcomes research (and related projects) that demonstrate and communicate the real-world value of products and services to patients, prescribers, budget holders, policy makers, and the FDA. Each Mapi Values office has the mission and diverse staff to carry out domestic and international projects.
Our U.S. office is the headquarters of Mapi Values, and within walking distance of historic Faneuil Hall Marketplace, The Freedom Trail, Financial District, and local government. It is easily accessible by public transport or automobile.
We currently seek qualified candidates for the position of Director, Patient-Reported Outcomes in our U.S. office.
Major responsibilities:
· Design, execute, and report on PRO and quality of life studies for the U.S. market (30%)
· Direct and mentor project teams to ensure that clients’ needs and objectives are achieved, and provided high-level liaison with clients (20%)
· Provide high-level consultancy to our clients on obtaining labeling and promotional claims for PROs (10%)
· Collaborate with our European offices in conducting international studies (15%)
· Work with the Director of Business Development to prepare proposals, presentations, and client material (15%)
· Prepare and/or direct publications for scientific journals, and presentations for U.S. and international conferences (5%)
· Cultivate strategic relationships and develop efforts that increase market access (5%)
Job requirements:
Candidates should have at least 8 years’ experience in managing and/or directing projects and teams in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, healthcare consultancy, or contracted (or university-affiliated) research institution. They must have excellent knowledge of qualitative and/or quantitative research methods, and an excellent understanding of issues related to developing and communicating PRO arguments to ensure that pharmaceutical products achieve leading market share as well as reimbursement by major insurers. The primary focus will be the U.S. market. Occasional travel is a component of this position. The successful candidate in our U.S. office will report to the Managing Director-Global.
