Position Summary:

Founded in 2002, Spinnaker is a fast growing professional services firm specializing in Supply Chain Consulting and Outsourcing.  With a workforce pushing 100 people delivering services in over 20 different countries, the firm is looking to hire a Director, of Resources Operations to lead the development of our most important asset, our people.  While not as small and chaotic as a start-up firm, this position offers the opportunity to design, implement, and operate business processes and programs to enhance the quality of the workforce at a young and dynamic company.

Resource Operations is the centralized support organization for all of Spinnaker’s human capital activities and processes.  As the leader of this group, this individual will be responsible for both the strategic and operational aspects of talent attraction, recruitment and development, workforce process management, and workforce deployment onto projects at our clients.  As a member of the firm’s management team, this individual must contribute to the strategic and tactical decisions of the firm and therefore shares direct responsibility for the operational success of Spinnaker. 

Responsibilities:

Management
Provide oversight to the Resource Operations team, consisting of 2-4 direct reportsResponsible for creating and managing the Resource Operations budgetParticipate in strategic and tactical decision forums with the rest of the firm’s management teamAbility to provide occasional consulting services to our clients in the areas of HR or Resource Operations Talent Attraction
Identify profiles of candidates likely to be successful at the firmIdentify and execute strategies to recruit highly talented resources to join SpinnakerWorkforce Development
Become an advocate for the professional and cultural aspects of the firm which result in employee satisfaction and retentionDevelop and administer career planning and development programsDevelop and administer compensation programsManage internal communications and company eventsImplement programs to improve the cohesiveness of our geographically diverse workforceWorkforce Process Management
Provide management oversight and hands-on assistance to the various HR processes at SpinnakerWorkforce Deployment
Facilitate management team discussions on client allocation decisions in light of project needs and employee career development considerationsManage non-chargeable time for the firm’s professional services employeesRequired Skills:
Excellent communication skillsAbility to address employee relations matters with professionalism Ability to keep the Management team abreast of developments and potential risk areasSomeone that has enough experience to contribute lessons learned, but not a ‘seasoned veteran’ who is looking for a purely managerial position  A problem solver and self-starter who knows when to press an issue Someone who can successfully contribute to  strategic decisions with the Management team as well as lend a hand to assist in operational processesEducation & Experience:
***Must have 5-8 years experience within Human Resources at a Professional Services firm***Ideal candidate would have extensive experience as a HR ‘generalist’ versus a HR administratorExperience and success managing teams Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant fieldTravel Required:
Up to 25 % time based on the geographical location of the individualMust travel to Spinnaker headquarters in Denver, CO on a periodic basisMay travel to client locations to provide occasional consulting services
