Director Service Logistics Management

We invite you to join TAMS and become part of our Toshiba family.In this position, you will provide strategic direction for materials management and repair operations to maximize inventory availability while minimizing inventory investment and operating expenditures; Direct the forecasting of service parts demand, acquisition requirements and repair volumes; Oversee Service related purchasing activities; Review and approve large dollar purchases of service parts inventory; Manage the geographic distribution of service parts inventories; Supervise the administration of all warehouses storing Service inventory. You will also oversee the activities relating to the repair and refurbishment of service parts; Ensure that quality is designed into all repair processes; Examine and endorse capital equipment expenditures for repair operations; Manage the development of semi annual budgets for operating expenditures, inventory levels and capital equipment requirements; Oversee the coaching and mentoring of employees; Supervise all other administrative activities, including the development of departmental policies and procedures; Provide information and recommendations to senior management on a frequent basis; Evaluate, maintain and monitor purchasing practices to ensure fair, honest and ethical relationships with suppliers and vendors; Guide the materials management and repair operations team to provide the proper balance between material availability and financial investment, as they relate to operational support, customer satisfaction and profitability.

Qualifications:

Position Requires:Four year degree in Business Administration or equivalent. Ten years experience in managing inventory and/or repair operations in a mission critical service environment.Total supply Chain Management including forward and reverse logistics.Strong interpersonal skills.
