Director of AV Integration

JOB SUMMARY

 

Responsible for directing, scheduling, and managing the AV Integration staff.  Develop a reproducible program for exceptional design, deployment and service.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

 

· Develop and implement systems to streamline the integration processes

· Direct the hiring/staffing decisions regarding designers, drafters and installation technicians

· Responsible for scheduling all labor associated with integration including, design deliverable, rack fabrication and testing, in house/on site programming, and support of installation and service field technician’s

· Resolve issues related to construction delays, design discrepancies, installation schedules, delivery dates, and final inspections

· Direct the project manager and other personnel to gather complete contract deliverable package, obtain product and graphic approval, brainstorm new ideas, maintain product property inventory



QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

 

· Strong understanding of audio principles, including echo cancellation for video conferencing applications

· Ability to fluently read all design drawings, including: Audio, Video, Control, Data, Conduit, and Architectural

· Ability to manage a diverse team demonstrating excellent leadership and interpersonal skills

· Strong knowledge and experience with large AV and construction project management

· Must be capable of efficiently creating all design documents and system software required for large scale design/build or consultant driven projects

· Strong understanding of the construction process, the roles of the various design/construction professionals, and the ability to understand the project from various employee/customer perspectives

 

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

 

· Bachelors degree

· 5 years of Direct Commercial AV Industry experience in a leadership or management role

· Must be familiar with design software, ability to read blueprints and MS Office products
