Based in Dallas, ACS is a FORTUNE 500 company of 62,000 people supporting client operations reaching more than 100 countries.It would be hard for you to go through a day without encountering the products or services of our many clients in communications, education, energy, financial services, government, healthcare, insurance, manufacturing, retail, travel, and transportation.We are currently searching for a Director of Communications who will oversee the development and delivery of communication campaigns and initiatives, branding and cultural outreach activities to promote the company's business objectives and aligned with the company’s marketing priorities.Responsibilities:Develop and leverage deep relationships with Tier I, Tier II and trade publications. An ability to cultivate strong relationships with key members of the press (reporters, editors, bloggers) to assure access to desired media.Create media opportunities that position ACS and our lines of business with the desired image and strategy; respond to unplanned media solicitations in a timely and comprehensive manner to optimize the exposure. This will require a strong knowledge of the media and solid working relationships with appropriate media and industry contacts.Oversee or manage the preparation of external communications and media relations materials, including media pitches, advisories and corporate news releases advancing the company’s image and reputation.An ability to serve as the company spokesperson and to media train and coach company executives and subject matter experts. Capable of maintaining poise, tact and diplomacy under pressure.A demonstrated ability for crisis and issue management and to manage conflicting demands and deadlines. Create speeches, White Papers, Op.-Eds. for executive management and other officers of the organization.Initiate research and drives the creative development of company communications and marketing programs.Contribute to the development of the organization's website content and other online avenues. Interact with vendors to produce desired results. Requires above average writing and editing skills. Excellent leadership, communications, and presentation skills are essential, to marshal numerous internal resources across ACS s various global offices. Strong interpersonal skills. Able to work effectively with peers, superiors, with special emphasis on ability to partner effectively with internal parties.
