Grainger is seeking experienced team players for current and future positions at our Roanoke, TX distribution center. Successful candidates must be able to meet productivity, quality, and safety expectations. Being detail-oriented, fast paced, customer-focused, flexible and able to work in a high volume environment picking/packing/shipping customer orders is essential. Positions require the physical agility to perform continuous lifting, bending, squatting, standing and to operate industrial powered equipment. Forklift positions also require previous experience with high-reach lift trucks. HS diploma or equivalent is essential. Candidates with previous distribution center experience given priority. Recent work in a physically demanding fast-paced environment is a must. Candidates must successfully complete a drug screen as well as other pre-employment screening processes. Majority of positions work Sun-Thurs or Mon-Fri nights 8:00 PM until 2:30 AM. Limited opportunity for work Monday thru Friday between Noon and 8:00 PM. Grainger offers a very competitive salary (13.97 plus 0.40 shift differential) and health benefits. No phone calls/walk-ins. JOB PURPOSE & RESPONSIBILITIES Performs tasks associated with the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. Uses established tools, equipment, and technologies required to complete transactions related to Inbound and Outbound processes within a distribution center. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum: - Must be able to operate power equipment - Able to meet deadlines and production requirements. - Able to lift up to 75 pounds on a regular basis. - Able to operate computerized scanning equipment - Able to work in a team environment - Must be customer service oriented - Possess good attention to ensure accuracy and quality - Must be willing and able to drive power industrial equipment (reach, dock truck and order picker) - May also be required to perform dock check in or machine putaway as needed.
