Department: Information Technology, Brokerage and Services Division
Reports to: Manager, IT Development – Brokerage and Services
Status: Exempt
Job Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Information Systems, Computer Science or related.
2. Minimum of 4 years experience in database and web-based applications development, with emphasis in areas of data modeling, SQL programming, and multi-tiered web-enabled architecture.
3. High level of experience using Microsoft SQL database management tools and Microsoft development environments, particularly the .NET infrastructure, and a strong desire to stay current with new languages and development platforms. Oracle experience a plus.
4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with all levels of personnel within the Company, external customers, and third party software vendors.
5. Experience writing detailed project specifications and/or requirements.
6. Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt, Master Black Belt or Certified Lean Manufacturing a plus.
7. Experience with web security and encryption protocols.
8. Well-developed analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
9. Ability to function in a diverse, fast-paced work environment.
10. 25%-50% travel may be required.
Description of Duties:
1. Designs, develops and tests new software solutions that integrate well with evolving multi-tiered transaction platforms as well as incorporates disaster recovery and capacity plans.
2. Help develop and modify applications to support key business processes and project plans, as necessary.
3. Leverage technology to provide e-business solutions as part of the company’s overall business strategy.
4. Work as part of a team to develop business integration concepts and solutions.
5. Provide leadership, knowledge and experience across a wide range of technical and business initiatives.
6. Participates in cross-functional teams to identify, innovate, create, and deliver business process improvements.
7. Identify and pursue programs / projects beyond initially scoped work.
8. Other duties as assigned.
