ELECTRONIC SPECIALIST

ELECTRONIC SPECIALIST Marathon Oil Corporation is an integrated international energy company engaged in exploration and production; oil sands mining; integrated gas; and refining, marketing and transportation. Currently we have an open Electronic Specialist position within Marathon?s Terminal, Transport and Marine Organization. This position will be based either out of Columbus, OH or Atlanta, GA. This position requires travel of 3 - 4 nights per week with routine overnight stays. Electronic Specialists are responsible for maintaining the electronic equipment at Marathon light products and asphalt terminals. Electronic Specialists provide the expertise to repair, replace, maintain, and perform preventive maintenance on electronic equipment that is beyond what terminal personnel typically handle. Typical equipment maintained by Electronic Specialists include: terminal computer operating systems, fire detection systems, electronic gas loading presets, storage tank high level alarm systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), printers, card readers, video display terminals (touch screens) and uninterruptible power supplies (UPS). Specialists must be highly motivated, self-directed and have strong decision making skills. Specialists should also have electronics related experience, programming knowledge with PLC?s as well as knowledge of PCs and Microsoft Word/Excel. A Computer, Technician or Technology Bachelor's degree is preferred. Compensation includes a competitive salary along with a yearly bonus based on company and employee performance.
