Invensys Process Systems has an exciting opportunity for a Electronic Test Technician II located in our Irvine office. RESPONSIBILITIES -Perform all system level testing for systems and test. Troubleshoot assemblies and/or final systems for termination modules. -Candidates must be skilled in set-up, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments and mechanical assemblies. -Determines and may develop test specifications, methods and procedures from blueprints, drawings and diagrams. -Tests and troubleshoots assemblies and/or final systems. -May complete rework on assemblies and/or systems as a result of testing. -May participate in the analysis and correction of field returns or unusual test problems. -Prepares technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problems. -May assist in the selection and set-up of specialized test equipment. -Has substantial understanding of the job and applies knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of complex tasks. -Initiates and implements test/repair of non-standard assignments. -Works on assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendations. -May select or adapt procedures and equipment for unusual problems. -May provide technical assistance. Works from broad instructions, identifies defects. -Normally receives little instruction on daily work, general instructions on newly introduced assignments. -Must possess capability to troubleshoot to component level. -Familiar with CPU & FPU. -Must be able to interpret drawings and schematics. Excellent working knowledge of Oscilloscopes, Digital Multimeter, Signal Generator and Frequency Counter. Proficient PC use ISO 9000 knowledge highly desired. EDCUCATION/BACKGROUND Requires an A.S.E.T./E.E. degree or related field. Typically requires a minimum of 2-4 years of related experience.
